Causes of motor vehicle accidents

Thesis Statement

As overall, the causes of motor vehicle accidents are speeding, weather conditions and drunk driving.

Topic Sentences

1. Speeding is the top cause of motor vehicle accidents.

2. Bad weather conditions will also the cause of motor vehicle accidents.

3. Being drunk whilst driving puts yourself and everybody around you in danger.

During previous lesson, our lecturer organized an outdoor game . Before this, we were divided into a few groups of five. We were given the newspapers and find out the words requested by the lecturer through the newspapers and we need to cut it out and run to the another side to paste it on a piece of paper. We were having so much fun although the weather is extremely hot. We were all sweated. After this, we were asked to go back to our tutorial room to link the words we had to form 3 topic sentences for the title 'Importance of Preserving Our Sea'. The topic sentences below is our group's answers after the discussions and corrections.

Importance of Preserving Our Sea

1. Preservation of sea can prevent the risk of contracting diseases.

2. Government can promote clean beaches to attract foreign tourists.

3. By preserving our sea, a better quality of marine food supply can be provided.

Short Reflection:

This game helps to boost up the cooperative spirit among the students. They will try their best to find out the words spoken out by the teacher. After that, one of them will cut the word out and the another one will glue it then another one will run as fast as he or she could to paste the words on the paper which is placed a distance away from them. During linking up the words to form three topic sentences, this will also enhance the students’ critical thinking skills. They will also learn how to make a short and precise topic sentences using the words pasted on the paper.
